ORGANIZATION
The Tournament is organized by the Maia Chess Academy with the support of the Maia
City Council.
TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR AND ARBITERS TEAM
The director and arbiters’ team will be nominated by the Maia Chess Academy.

Maia Chess Open – Maia Masters: Entry requirement of 2000 or higher FIDE. Standard Rating at the time of booking.

Players with GM, IM, WGM and WIM titles are exempt from the entry fee.
Organization can accept exceptions for players under 2000 rating for Maia International
Masters. It will have a fee of 150 € and the approval from the direction of the
tournament is needed.
Maia Chess Open – U2000 Tournament: Open to all players duly affiliated with the Portuguese Chess Federation which FIDE Standard Rating is below 2000.
